Ayre/Rhinehart REALTORS - 1545 Midland Rd,Bay City
1545 Midland Rd, Bay City $330,000

Very spacious, well built 4/5 bedroom, 4.5 bath colonial home, they don't make them like this anymore. This home is perfect if you have a large family or just like to spread out. Due to the size of the home this would work great for families that have foster care or would like to. The upstairs can be separated and there is a full one bedroom apartment with a separate entrance, you could use it for an adult child who still lives at home, an in law suite or rent it out for extra income, especially with both Delta college and SVSU near by. The two car garage has a small shop off the back and there is a separate 1 car garage at the end of the lot so storage for all your toys isn't going to be a problem. The home is very well cared for and has had many updates. Words just don't do this home justice it definitely needs to be seen.

Upon entering this home you are met by a beautiful cathedral ceiling, featuring a crystal chandelier and spiral stair case. These stairs are a beautiful setting for family pictures or for your daughter to make her appearance in her prom or wedding dress. Christmas is getting closer and the curve of the stairs is the perfect place for a large two story tree.
Speaking of Christmas you definitely will be hosting all the holiday parties. This house can easily accommodate 50 people with out them being on top of each other. You can see just how large formal living room and dining room. Large windows let in tons of natural light. Freshly painted in a nice neutral color, white trim and a mid tone laminate wood flooring has been added.
One of two fireplaces. This one currently has a decorative electric insert but if you prefer wood the electric insert and plug just need to be removed
View from the kitchen looking at the formal dining room and through the living room to the entry.
Currently the owner has the table only set for 6 but you can easily fit a much larger dining room table and still fit in a hutch or sideboard. Crystal chandelier matches the one in the entry. The door in the background leads to the kitchen.
Standing in the door way from the formal dining room you can see the full length of the kitchen island, it easily fits 8 bar stools. It also makes a great place for setting up buffets.
All the cabinets are original so they are very well built, and there are tons of them. The kitchen has had many updates: dark stain on cabinets and new hardware, new sink, faucet, lighting over bar, can lights, stainless steel appliances, counter tops, flooring and paint. There is a entry to the front porch so people can come in this way instead of the formal entry. Or you can enter from the garage into a mudroom.
This pictures shows just how long the kitchen is. Separating the kitchen and the eating area is peninsula with an over hang which fits 3-4 bar stools. and provides even more storage. There is a place for every kitchen item that you could ever need.
Dining nook in the kitchen is perfect for dinners and as you can see fits a large 8 person table. Between the counter seating and table you can fit about 17 people just in the kitchen alone. Behind us is the mud room with the garage entry and access to the fenced in backyard and also the laundry room. The Laundry room has a laundry sink, and cupboards and a counter for folding.
Off the kitchen is the family room. While still large this room is a little cozier especially with the wood burning fireplace. The half bath is located just off this room as are the stairs to the basement and the back stairs that lead up to the apartment end or the 2nd floor. The door leading to the stair way can be locked and there is a back entrance to enter the upstairs if you choose to rent it out. The large window is a sliding door to the back yard. Updated paint and laminate floors continue from the front room.
Standing in the kitchen looking through the family room toward the hall way.
Do you work from home? This home office is perfect with a door leading to the back yard, and a built in desk surrounded by book shelves and lower closed storage. You could also use this room for a bedroom since it does have a closet. Flooring has been carried into this room also.
This master will fit your kings size bed, night tables, dressers and still has room for a seating area for some alone time. There are three large closets also. Newer carpet and paint.
Second view of master bedroom.
Master bathroom offers so much counter space you will have no problem sharing the bathroom in the morning. The bathroom is original however the toilet, lighting, freshly painted vanity and walls.
This is the second main floor bedroom. It will easily fit two children and all there belongings. Even with all the furniture currently in it you can see just how much play room is left. Or if your children are older you could set up part for sleeping and part with a sitting area, what teen wouldn't love there own hang out space in their room. It has two nice size windows that let in lots of natural light, and has two large closets. Newer paint and carpet.
Just off the bedroom is a full bath, its almost like having on en suite. Updated toilet, lighting, and fresh paint on walls and vanity.
At the top of the spiral stairs is the third bedroom. Again it is very spacious, although not quiet as large as the main floor bedroom, you can fit a full bedroom suite and still a small sitting area.
Every teen's dream, an en suite. With a vanity this large that they can spread out all their beauty tools. I can just see a teen girl spending hours in front of that mirror trying out all the newest hair and makeup tricks.
This is the 4th bedroom and can also be the bedroom to the apartment. In the hallway out side of the 3rd bedroom is a large closet then a door that separates that room from this end of the upstairs forming a full one bedroom apartment. Another large room with double closets. One is extra deep bumping into the attic space.
This is the living room for the apartment any tenant would be happy here it is so large. It has two nice size windows and doors leading to an upper porch. There are also double closets which make great storage or it could easily be used a bedroom. If you don't want to use it for an income apartment it could be a great place for in laws or an older child to have some independence while still living at home. This would also make a great hang out place for your teenagers.
View of the living room from the other end, by looking at the furniture you can better see how big this room really is.
In order to rent this out all you would need to add is a fridge and stove. The kitchen even has room for a table and there are plenty of cabinets for storage. The cabinets have been updated like the down stairs ones with a dark stain, updated hardware, lighting, flooring and paint.
The 4th full bath is located in the hall across from the "apartment" or 4th bedroom. And would be the one that tenants have access too.
In the lower level you will find and other finished living space which is a nice man cave, theater, or place for the kids when you are having holiday parties. Off of this room, behind the double doors is an other room. The current owner uses it to store and work on guns so it is kept locked for safety. This room is 14 x 14 and has 3 doors to enter the rest of the basement. Keep it a gun room or maybe a craft room, office or play room. You are only limited by your imagination as this house offers so much space it can accommodate everyone's interests.
Coming through the gun room is a finished room perfect for an office, school room, or play room. Add an egress window and it could be a guest room.
Behind the gun room is a very large unfinished room. As is it is great for storage but since there is another storage area this could be finished or left as is and used for a pool table or ping pong. Or maybe you need a craft room
The last room in the basement is the furnace room. Again a great storage area. There is also a small storage room with a door. There are two furnaces and hot water heaters.
The back yard is fenced in great for young children or dogs. Cement patio is the perfect place to enjoy the evening sunsets or grill out. Currently there is an unused farm field behind the house so the back yard is quite private. It is smaller but there are two other yard areas. Out front running along the drive way is a great area for hosting flag football games or adding a volley ball court, there are mature apple trees too.
This picture shows the entrance to the apartment to the left is the slider in the family room, further left is the door to the office and to the right is the door to the mud room.
The backyard at the end of the property has the second garage and has been used for gardening, yard games, a fire pit and to store there camper during the summer. There is even room for a pool.
